the world has raised its whip; where will it descend?

Here at trace., we strive to provide emerging queer artists with a platform to showcase their work. We think this is a vitally important mission, particularly at a time when the world threatens to be torn apart by poorly understood reactionary forces. Our goal is to promote queer artistry and public engagement at a time when both queer people and the arts are under threat.

Established in December, 2016, trace queer artist collective is an artist-run organisation devoted to the promotion of queer artists. trace. is currently based in Brighton, uk but comprising artists from across the globe.

Our mission is to promote and empower emerging queer artists; showcase art that challenges, provokes, disturbs, and disrupts the status quo; engage and educate local communities in workshops and exhibitions; and facilitate connection and collaboration between queer artists.

We strive to be an open and inclusive collection of artists, representing all of the varied and diverse queer walks of life. We strongly encourage artists to contact us with their portfolios, particularly trans and female-identifying artists, and artists of colour, as these groups are currently underrepresented in our ranks.
